Fire tail squirrels are highly intelligent and mischievous creatures, always plotting a plan to benefit themselves. They are very well camouflaged and blend into their environment when threatened. They are usually found in the Valley of Fire.
I was inspired by the fur itself, it reminded me of a well engulfed fire. For some reason I gravitate towards fire themed creatures, I always have since I first started playing Pokemon way back in 1996. His body was inspired by the dry desert region, while his tail obviously represents fire. I went with orange coloured eyes as there is very little orange on Kasai's body in the first place. Again my trademark black eye tufts draw you into his eyes, while the white highlighting brings the eyes out.
