Prion the Black Tip Leopard Cat.
Background story: Leopard cats are curious but shy creatures, they have a tendency to stalk travellers and watch from a hiding place. Leopard cats are usually found around Tall Trees and Central Highlands.
This is the first doll I made out of my new cat sculpt, I tried something a little different and went for a 'cute' look. Although I do like how the sculpt turned out, it's not really the direction I want to go with my work, so I think I might steer away from the cutesy look.
I found inspiration from this amazing fur I had, it's incredibly soft and has an amazing pattern on it. Despite it being beautiful fur, it was the hardest and most uncooperative fur I have worked with. Because this fur is woven onto the backing, it tends to have a mind of its own when removed, making it hard to keep together and difficult to control. Never the less I got there!
I decided to go a black underbelly in a longer pile as I wanted Prionto sport a bit of a mane. I once again gave him the black eye tufts draw you into his eyes while the white highlights under his eyes bring out his blue eyes.
