Inside Selene the Moon Bear

Background story: Moon bears are found in the highest point of Wunderkammer, Alpine Ridge. They're considered somewhat of a legendary creature as they are quite rare. The markings on their snout symbolise their age.

A few months back I made Copernicus the sun bear, ever since then there has been an urge to create the opposite of that doll. I wanted to draw the colours of the moon out with black being the main colour while keeping many of the same aspects of Copernicus.

I was inspired by the colour or the moons' surface, with a blacks, whites and greys. The black in Selene's fur is representative of the darkness of space, while the white and grey represents the moons surface.

Once again the black eye tufts are slightly hidden, while the white will draw you into her eyes. I chose a light blue colour for his eyes to represent the glow of the moon.

This guy will be available for purchase this Friday morning between 9-10am AEST in my Etsy shop. Alternatively you can check me out on my social media pages below. Also check out my Society6 and Redbubble shop for prints and more.
