Shadow Ice Lions are strange creatures, many people tend to think they're really more of a spiritual being than a physical being, as they seemingly float when they run and a silent when they move. They are solitary creatures, only coming together to breed which can be a violent affair.
Their coat is mostly black with areas of grey and white, each lions markings is unique to them, much like our own fingerprints. They have piercing blue eyes and an ice blue mane, both males and females have manes, however the female's mane is much shorter and not so vibrant blue.
Shadow Ice Lions are found in a small region called the Shadowed Wilds in the Black Tribal Lands of Cry India, the locals tend to leave them alone as they have their superstitions about these creatures.
It's been a while since I've created a doll to put in my shop, so this time is a new lion sculpt. I wanted to do something a little different and have a dark doll with one feature colour, I also wanted to incorporate a fur dying technique into my YouTube videos, so what better than to create a creature with a colourful mane! I also experimented with glass eye casting with this doll as well in which I used striking blue eyes. I wanted the blue to stand out on the doll so I kept the colour to a minimum and went for a white face and dark body.
I also used a plastic ball and socket armature for this creature which gives it a sense of weight and stability.
Tenebris has a resin face and claws were cast from an original sculpture hand crafted by me. His body is made from thick faux fur which was designed and sewn by me, he has a plastic ball and socket armature inside making him fully poseable, his face was furred by hand and painted in acrylic paints.
Tenebris is approximately 40 x 35cm head to tail.
Tenebris has been adopted, alternatively you can check me out on my social media pages below.
