Winter blossom bunnies are sweet little creatures, they come in a variety of different colours including pinks, purples, yellows and blues. They have a sweet smell where the scent changes according to their colouring. Hana is a pink variety of winter blossom rabbit, which means she has a feint scent of cherry blossoms. During the summer months, the winter blossom rabbit turn almost white in colour to stay cool in the warmer climate, then come Spring and the bunnies coats start to become more vibrant lasting through the winter months.
Winter blossom bunnies can be found throughout the Cry India region, each region tends to have a common colour variety of bunny.
My first doll of the new bunny sculpt and I knew exactly what colour scheme I wanted to do, pink and white! I had been hoarding the last of this pink and white mongolian faux for a small enough doll, luckily for this sculpt, it's quite small and I can use the rest of this faux fur. It's an amazing fur to work with and comes in a selection of cool colours so I hope to get it again soon. I actually went for a cuter look for this sculpt, something I don't normally go for, but happy with the way it turned out as it's not too much on the cutesy side. I kept the design fairly simple for this doll as I didn't want to take away from the fur itself and the way the white tips blend into the pink. I had a play around with the ears and settled on some floppy ears, next bunny doll I think I might try some wired ears.
Hana has a resin face and paws that were cast from an original sculpture hand crafted by me. Her body is made from thick faux fur which was designed and sewn by me, she has a wire armature inside making her fully poseable, her face was furred by hand and painted in acrylic paints.
Hana is approximately 20 x 18cm head to tail.
Hana will be up for grabs in my shop this Friday between 8-9am AEST. Alternatively you can check me out on my social media pages below. Also check out my Society6 and Redbubble shop for prints and more.
